NewsIn February 2009 we were told that we were experiencing the worst snowfall for 20years and that it wouldn’t be repeated for a long time!
What this means to businesses is that home-working facilities for key staff is essential. Insurance provider RSA estimate that the recent bad weather costs the UK economy upto £690million per day. The Federation of Small Businesses estimates that 1 in 10 employees have not made it into their workplace during the snowfall over the past 3-4weeks. For some organisations, work cannot be carried out unless workers attend site (manufacturing etc) but many people can function perfectly well when working from home.
Koris has been inundated over the past couple of weeks with requests to supply various disaster recovery solutions. These solutions range from simple call diverts to mobiles/home telephones through to complete teleworker solutions for voice and data applications, allowing users to function normally whilst working from home.
