Koris has supported Rayner in their recent office relocation through the design, implementation and support of a brand new IT infrastructure. Rayner is a specialist in the design and manufacture of intraocular lenses and proprietary injection devices, for use in cataract surgery. Having out-grown their office, in a location that caused frequent data problems, Rayner decided to move their new medical manufacturing facility to a modern 8,000sqm office in Worthing.
The Rayner office move project included the deployment of their complete IT Infrastructure, from solution planning, installation and support, through to the training of the workforce. Working alongside Rayner, the Koris team were able to gain an understanding of previous problems, taking the appropriate steps to ensure full resilience across the whole deployment, including solutions covering all aspects of Voice, Data and AV.
Since the office relocation, Rayner has seen positive results and have yet to experience any of the problems they faced at their previous location. Mike Collins, Consultant at Rayner commented, “Koris has been more than competitive in their offering and confident in their delivery. In short, I couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Koris.”

Did you know, 87% of British businesses are now allowing employees to work away from the office? With government changes in June last year, every employee now has the right to ask for flexible working from home. When executed well, the benefits can be felt across the whole business, including your staff, employers and key stakeholders.
For one, you’ll have happier staff. There’s a reason why flexible working is now seen as a perk with a new job – over 3 out of 4 managers who have implemented flexible working policies are doing it because they believe it helps them to retain their staff.
There’s also the added benefit of increased staff productivity, with more than 50% who said they make sure they overcompensate when working from home. With no commute into the office, staff have more time to work and less time to travel.
Did you know that the average cost of an employee desk is a whopping £5,426. So if you can reduce the number of desks by introducing remote working, the savings are going to add up. The plan would be to also cut the expense of absenteeism, with the average cost per year of people calling in sick being around £550. When BT recently introduced flexible staff working, their absenteeism dropped to less than half the UK average.
Due to the change in government legislation, flexible working has now become the norm. When 1,000 workers were asked what they’d do if they employers stopped flexible working, 6 in 10 said they’d look for a new job.
Is now the time to introduce an infrastructure for remote working in your business?
