These radio systems operate in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and are fully compliant with the internationally recognized IEEE 802.11a, b and g standards.
License free radio solutions are designed for both internal WLAN and external MAN and WAN solutions. With internal WLAN systems Koris offer industry leading secure access point and hot-spot wireless solutions.
For the external market we offer solutions for both point to point and point to multipoint with path lengths in excess of 20km achievable.

Licensed Microwave
Koris supply, install and maintain a wide range of microwave radio systems in the frequency band 7GHz to 40GHz with capacities from 64Kb/s to 155Mb/s to support the PDH and SDH markets. Products operate in the licensed microwave bands.
Licensed microwave links deploy point to point technology delivering high bandwidths over long path lengths.
Products comprise an Outdoor Unit (ODU) and an Antenna and Indoor Unit (IDU) with a single coaxial cable run between ODU and IDU to supply power and signal to the ODU.

Free Space optics is a line of sight (LOS) technology, which utilises light to provide point to point wireless connections. The light source is usually a type of laser diode as this type of light is the most suitable to provide high speed, long distance connections. Low speed, short range systems (typically below 10Mb/s and under 200m may use a high power LED.
FSO products can offer link speeds between 2Mb/s to 2.7Gb/s and within the next six to twelve months 10Gb/s product solutions will be on the market. Some products are able to offer data and voice channels over a common link. FSO products are ideally suited to the short-haul high-speed market, supporting links 100Mb/s – 1Gb/s up to a maximum clear line of sight path of 2km.
