The way we use voice systems to communicate these days is dramatically different to even 5years ago. It used to be very straightforward when choosing a telephone system for your business, particularly as the average office telephone user would only need a few of the hundreds of available system features.

In recent years things have moved on with people now expecting the ability to hotdesk at an available handset, work remotely from a home office as an extension of the Head Office system, twin their mobile/PDA device to their desk handset to ensure they are easily contactable by colleagues or customers, collaborate with other remote colleagues or customers using voice/video/document sharing.

Some people still only need a handset on their desk to make or receive calls and will never require anything more than this. However, the key is that all businesses must have a platform installed that enables them to offer as many of these types of services as possible to their employees. Nowadays all of the required features and services can be provided cost effectively thanks to the shift from traditional telephone systems to IP Telephony platforms.

There are many IP Telephony platforms available today in the UK. Mitel is one of the world’s leading IP Telephony manufacturers and has been a major player for over 30 years. By working closely with Mitel on both a technical and commercial level, Koris can offer the highest levels of service to our clients. This does not stop us working with clients who have invested in other platforms as we have strong partnerships with leading suppliers of Avaya, Cisco and Nortel solutions.

Many companies claim to be expert in many different IP Telephony platforms but this is rarely the case. They will typically recommend their preferred platform after an independent analysis has taken place. The Koris approach is to choose what we feel is the best product (based on features/functionality/pedigree/market share/price etc) and offer this transparently to our clients.
